The theme "borderline" is seen as the idea of showing borderspaces, which run counter to daily perceptions and intentional require new interpetations of mindsets. In a psychological view "borderline" signifies a high-grade ambivalence of associative enticements and consequential actions; fast vacillating between converse concepts and continuing perseveration in an instabile stability.

This definition also can be adopted on daily life between different cultures, sexes, age classes, political groups, and so on. The line of demarcation then becomes an interspace, that also can be read as source for new impulses.
The delight on interspaces and shades resulting from this, carries the visualization of spaces beyond black and white – a dissolution of the dual system.

Out of this examination, projects have been developed in the open studio, that playfully cross the borders of individual disciplines, visualize and deconstruct cultural concepts and codes and deal with the representation of the individual.
